SEIKO 6306-7001
When a dive watches 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock dial marker inspiration stems from divers fins and a fisherman’s harpoon, one can undoubtedly assume the watch had thorough consideration during its planning and development. This may be a biased opinion, but I for one can confirm; These are fantastic vintage divers.
This particular example presents itself in outstanding condition. Starting with the case; It is free of any major dings, and only common hairline scratches are present throughout the underside. The crown screws down and frees up with ease, and is able to change the day/date as it should. The bi-directional bezel rotates with a strong grip. The insert itself is original and is also free of any major flaws. The dial is in pristine condition, and the lume has aged well and is a nice custard colour. In-line with the rest of the watches condition is the “water resist” text which is still barely un-faded, and is still showing it’s original shade of red-ish brown. The caseback design is unscathed and prominent. Lastly the crystal is free of any major scratches or chips.
The watch will be supplied on an aftermarket Seiko GL831 style rubber strap.
