SEIKO 6139-7070

A popular reference that has earned a place among other classic vintage Seiko chronographs, the 6139-7070 draws one’s attention with It’s beautiful, multi stepped dial design that is a pleasantly iridescent “petrol blue” colour.  The 6139-7070 shares a similar dial execution to its much  larger 6138 sibling the “Jumbo”. Thus rendering this smaller, more C-shaped case the “Baby Jumbo”. This reference is also aptly nicknamed the “Aquatimer” due to its handset resemblance to the IWC Aquatimer.

This example comes in great overall condition, displaying very minor nicks and hairline scratches throughout the case and bracelet but still retaining its original edges and finishing.

A service was performed in February of 2022 and is keeping great time running at ±14 seconds/day and beating at an amplitude of 215. Paired with its original bracelet, this 6139-7070 is a welcome addition to any collection.
