ROLEX SEA-DWELLER 16600

SOLD

The Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 enjoyed a very healthy production run of about 20 years, having been introduced in 1989, with production halting in 2009. The Sea-Dweller has generally been regarded as the “the more professional Submariner”, due to its enhanced dimensions and features that make it more appeasing for serious dive enthusiasts.  Such features include a staggering 4000ft depth rating and the genius helium escape valve, and because of this distinguishing feature, the watch is a hefty 14.5mm thick. Its presence is certainly felt on wrist and left etched in one’s mind, continuously re-assuring the wearer that it is utilitarian in nature and ready to be put to use at any given time. It still does however, remain very similar in appearance to its Submariner kin, giving it all the sporty elegance, too.

The example presented here is in wonderful condition, having little to no wear at all, with the exception of the odd hairline scratch if seen under the correct lighting conditions. The movement is running very well, with a +1 second per day gain and a healthy 293 amplitude. Included will be essentially everything that came with the watch when it left the AD, with the exception of the original sales receipt.
