The Milgauss has come a long way since its debut in 1954/55 with the reference 6543, where it was marketed as the scientists watch with the feature of high resistance to magnetic fields up to 1000 gauss. Thus berthing the name Milgauss (mille – French for one thousand and guass – The increment used when measuring a magnetic field at a certain point in space.)
In 2023, the Milgauss is not too different, but very different at the same time, if that makes sense. The essence of the 6543 still lives on in the watch but of course, in a colourfully modern and unique package.
