ROLEX EXPLORER II 16570

‘POLAR DIAL, 3186 MOVEMENT’

The Explorer II ref. 16570 is, like most of Rolex watches, nothing more than an expertly refined design that remains utilitarian in nature. Bearing a GMT function and the Explorer title, it replaces unnecessary colour ways with brushed steel, allowing it to emphasize the vibrance of the red GMT hand and further allowing the wearer to focus on just exactly what the watch intends to convey when called upon. This stripped down design has enabled the Explorer II to standout on its own amongst its kin, and with a robust movement under the hood, the Explorer II has become the quintessential no-frills adventure watch.

The example presented here is in wonderful condition, sporting its original chamfers, polished and brushed finishes. The dial, handset, dial markers and bracelet are all in exceptional condition.

Rolex’s caliber 3186 is as robust as any movement, and is running very well at a 313 amplitude and ±3 seconds per day.
