ROLEX EXPLORER 114270
The Rolex Explorer has come to be known as the quintessential “go anywhere, do anything” watch due to its compact 36mm case, 20mm lug width, and its refined yet sporty dial layout. It is a watch that was made to be worn on the wrists of adventurers atop mountains, and has since become an iconic, minimalist sports watch.
Debuting in 2001, the 114270 enjoyed a healthy production until it‘s halt in 2010. This example is from 2007, and is in outstanding condition. Aesthetically the only flaws are minor hairline scratches on the bezel and throughout other highly polished surfaces, none of which are immediately noticeable. It’s also a pleasure to state that the watch retains completely original condition and is unpolished. The signature “3, 6, 9” dial is pristine and free of any blemishes, as is the mercedes handset and original crystal.
Although service history is unknown, the robust calibre 3130 is running exceptionally well, with an amplitude of 285 and shows ±3 seconds per day. The watch will be supplied with its original inner and outer box, along with the warranty card.
