POLICY ON RETURNS

1.1. Watches

1.1.1. Halestead (Halestead Watches) does not guarantee the ability of waterproofing/water resistance for any watch. Some watches sold through Halestead are not new and have not been pressure tested prior to being sold. This includes diver/sport watches.

1.1.2. Please contact o discuss returns, exchanges, or trades.

1.1.3. Should there be a concern about the authenticity or quality of the watch, it can be brought to our attention by emailing us at halesteadwatches@gmail.com within 14 days of the date the item is received.

1.1.4. All watches and their parcel contents (box, paperwork, etc.) must be returned in the original condition it was delivered, including in the watch pouch or watchbox, with complete paperwork if paperwork was included in the sale.

1.1.5. Returns must be shipped back with tracking at the expense of the buyer. Once received, the watch and its accompanying box and paperwork (if applicable) will be inspected. If the contents of the parcel are deemed satisfactory, a full refund excluding the return shipping fee will be administered. If the contents of the parcel are deemed unsatisfactory, the watch will be mailed back to the buyer at their expense.

1.1.6. Halestead retains sole discretion in determining whether a watch has been shown to be inauthentic or unsatisfactory in quality. Halestead also retains sole discretion in determining whether the accompanying box and paperwork is shown to be inauthentic or unsatisfactory in quality.

 

POLICY ON SERVICING

Servicing is a term that includes: Dis-assembly, cleaning, lubrication, and re-assembly. Time keeping is adjusted, regulated, and monitored for 48hrs prior to being deemed “serviced”. This does not include pressure testing. Pressure testing is an available option during the servicing procedure and can be done upon request at an added cost to the interested buyer.

1.1 Available watches that have already been serviced were done so as they were received by Halestead and determined to have required a service prior to being listed for sale. Some modern watches that become available for sale may not be serviced prior to listing. If a watch offered for sale has not been serviced by Halestead or as advised from a previous owner, it will be clearly indicated in the description and/or Essentials section of the watch write-up as “unknown” or “N/A”.

1.2 The choice not to service a watch prior to listing it for sale is based upon the condition of the watch movement within; In terms of its functionality, timing, and by examination/advice from our watchmakers.

1.3 Halestead retains sole discretion in determining whether a watch is to be serviced prior to being available for sale.

1.4 All watches are guaranteed to be functioning and keeping “good vintage time”, what we define as ± 18 seconds per 24 hours, prior to being available for sale. Servicing a watch that is available for sale and is not already serviced can be arranged by request of the interested buyer for an added cost.

POLICY ON SHIPPING

 

Shipping Policy Statement

All items will be shipped via Canada Post Xpresspost as a standard means of shipping. This is the standard method of shipping used for parcels shipped within North America and is factored into the listed prices. All parcels shipped through Canada Post Xpresspost are tracked. 

 

This will also be the standard shipping method of choice for parcels shipped worldwide. When a parcel is shipped internationally, it is received  by the respective country’s national mailing system and distributed to the final destination from there. If this process is deemed unsatisfactory by the potential buyer, an alternative shipping method can be negotiated and arranged when contacting RBVW about a particular item. Once an arrangement is agreed upon with an alternative logistics provider, a shipping quote will be provided to the potential buyer.
