OMEGA SPEEDMASTER CHRONOMETER DATE 3211.30

Throughout the 2000’s, the Speedmaster Date was the ever present, automatic variant of the renowned Speedmaster Professional. Dial designs were distinctive from one another yet kept in-line with what one would expect from a “fresh take” on the traditional Speedmaster concept. It has since proven to be an ideal and worthy alternative to its manually wound predecessor.

On hand is a very sharp example displaying essentially no wear to the case, bracelet and bezel. Its edges are intact just as they were when it was initially unboxed, with an unmarked crystal and clean dial. The only minor shortcoming is the minutes hand, which was likely damaged during a service in the past and was replaced with a new, OEM hand. Due to the original handset having developed a rich colour to the lume over time, this has resulted in a slight lume mis-match.

The quality of the watch is truly felt when on wrist, translated by the robust 40mm case and the classic twisted lug design. Not to mention the familiar Omega logo next to its date window at 3 o’clock.

Powering the watch is Omega’s 1164 caliber, a well equipped movement based upon the ETA 7750. Service history is unknown however the watch is running very well at ±4 seconds per day and a 266 amplitude. Acompanying the watch will be its original box and papers, complete with instruction booklet, all cards, 3 additional links, as well as the inner and outer boxes.
