The Seamaster name is as synonymous as the Speedmaster is with the brand name itself. Debuting in 1948, the Seamaster moniker was given to a line of watches that featured rubber gaskets and resistance to magnetism, adding a dose of ruggedness and durability to an otherwise entirely dress watch. Fast forward to the present day and the Omega Seamaster has since poised itself to become a flagship reference in both Omega’s catalog of watches and the watch industry as a whole.
This Seamaster iteration emerges from the late 1970’s where countless case shapes and dial designs donned the Seamaster name. This example has a lovely case shape that brings together a combination of cushion and barrel case design elements with a deeply rich, 20 micron thick gold plating surrounding it.
Condition wise, this Seamaster is in exceptional condition, with a completely untouched case, mint dial with perfect lume plots, and the original crystal, still with the Omega logo intact at its center. Complimenting the watch will be a period correct Omega box, along with its original buckle.
