GRAND SEIKO SBGR001

From the “teenage” years of Grand Seiko’s  current era comes a line of watches pure in design, no frills in its features and just a damn good watch all round. That sums up the SBGR001. 

This one hails from 2003 and is an honest example. It has a nick or two, and certainly has seen a polish cloth in the past. Thankfully, it retains its wonderful original lines and there aren’t any major flaws to catch the eye. The dial is pristine as is the handset that still reflects light beautifully. Crown is original and operating as it should. The caseback condition is solid, and the original crystal is free of any noticeable scratches and other damage. 

The bracelet is original, and is in fair condition, exhibiting some stretch but can accommodate up to about a 7.75” wrist. For reference, the wrist shot was taken on a 7.25” wrist (in warm weather) and there is still a bit of play. 

Movement service history is unknown however after being inspected and checked on a timegrapher, it is showing excellent results coming in at ±2 seconds/day, a 261 amplitude and 0.0ms beat error. 

This gem among the “neo-vintage” Grand Seiko offerings will come as a full set, complete with everything aside from the original sales receipt.
