GRAND SEIKO 6146-8000

’61GS’

Produced for about two years (debuting in 1967), the “61GS” is a classic vintage Seiko reference and is instantly recognizable with its Grammar of Design case style. Having a day and date window gives this piece a casual appeal but is still able to hold its own strongly as a dapper and refined watch when called upon.

This example in particular is in very good condition. The only noticeable damage comes in the form of a few case nicks along the lower left side of the case edge. Otherwise, the case appears to have been unpolished or lightly polished (correctly) in the past. Sporting unavoidable authentic hairline scratches, and retaining every one of its wonderfully beveled edges Grand Seiko has come to be known for. The crown is original, and long broad handset in exceptional condition. Dial is in immaculate condition and still retains a spotless matte white finish. With a caseback sticker being applied at some point, the medallion has been kept in outstanding condition.

The watch will be supplied on a black, unpadded genuine crocodile leather strap. Movement fully serviced in January 2021.
