My journey into the world of watches, like many others, began with Seiko—specifically, a vintage Lord Matic reference 5601-9000 from the late 1960s. I was captivated by its clean, minimalist design and the unique vertically brushed finish on the dial, something I had never encountered in a watch before it.

From there, my passion grew, leading me to explore iconic models like the 6139 and 7018 chronographs, 6306 divers, and of course, Grand Seiko. I quickly realized that to truly appreciate a watch, I needed to experience it firsthand. This mindset fueled my growing collection and naturally led to trading watches to make room for new acquisitions. This process laid the foundation for what would eventually become Halestead Watches.

Today, my appreciation for timepieces extends beyond Seiko, encompassing all aspects of the watch world. Whether modern or vintage, Seiko or Rolex, my vision for Halestead Watches is to offer wristwatches that reflect the merit I’ve come to admire.
