ROLEX SUBMARINER 16610

There are few watches that share refinement, modernity and are purpose built. There are few watches that have impacted the watch industry in a way that is on par with its impact on the community it serves. There is such a watch, and that is the omnipresent yet coveted Rolex Submariner.

Produced from the very late 1980’s until 2010, the 16610 is the Submariner that truly brought the feel of the modern-day Submariner to fruition. Tritium was abandoned in favour of Luminova in and around 1997, thus rendering the lume to remain unchanged by time as the watch aged, as opposed to tritium. The Rolex 3035 movement present on the previous steel Submariner Date references was also improved upon in the 16610 by way of the caliber 3135.

The example on hand here is in exceptional original condition, even still boasting its caseback sticker. The movement is running at ±2 seconds per day with a 284 amplitude. Service history is unknown.
