OMEGA SPEEDMASTER AUTOMATIC 3520.50

The Omega Speedmaster has had many spin-off references based on its iconic design, (the list truly feels endless) and one such spin-off is the 3520.50; an automatic, 39mm, four-handed,  three  sub-register “triple date”  chronograph. This watch strikes a pleasing balance between a busy dial layout that still somehow does the Omega Speedmaster Professional justice, making it quite the unique reference and a favourite amongst the “reduced” crowd of automatic Speedmaster admirers.

 

In clockwise order, the top sub-register records elapsed minutes and also displays the day and month. Next is a 12hr sub-register at 6 o’clock, and finally at 9 o’clock we have a 24hr sub-register (indicated by the broad arrow hand) that also acts as a continuous small seconds register. The day of the month is determined by the airplane-like pointer date hand. 

 

This example is in good condition, harbouring only minor wear throughout the case, tachymeter insert and bracelet. The movement was serviced in April 2023 and is running very well at ±1 second and a 341 amplitude.
